Nitro Harley Drag Bike Racing

As with any racing effort it takes the work of multiple people to get down a race track.  The team members of Bennett Racing are profiled below. Without them there would be no effort.

The Bennett Race Team!

The Crew Chief:  Paul Jones a.k.a. The Master

If anyone is wondering why we call Paul "the master" hang around
our pits during a race and watch this guy.  He knows how to
get one of these beast down the track.  He has been tuning Nitro
Harleys for a very long time and I believe could do it in his sleep.
Paul has built, raced and tuned about
every type of Harley you can imagine
and then probably some you can't.
Without him the rest of us would be
sitting in the stands as spectators.
Every time you see this bike go
down the track it is from his knowledge
as the rest of us are just trying to absorb
a little bit of his 30+ years of experience.
He has volunteered his time to tune the machine and help our race
effort and for that we are very grateful!

Crewman: Craig Butler
Craig works non stop on this bike. From the shop to the track, he is
constantly getting things ready to run. He works his tail off to make
sure we are ready for the next race.  He's my starter guy at race
track along with many other hats.  When the bikes broke, he's at
the shop pulling the bike apart.
He makes sure we have everything
loaded up when it's time to go racing.
Not that we would ever forget anything.
Yeah....right. Craig is another one that
enjoys making this machine go down
the track with authority and we appreciate
his help in doing this.  Thanks Craig!!

Crewman: Eric Hitt

Eric comes to us with many years in the Nitro Harley business and his experience is welcomed.  There is no such thing as too much experience in this sport so Bennett Racing is thrilled to have him helping us get this machine down the track.  Welcome Eric!!

The Pilot: Scott Bennett

I'm the guy who has the easiest job of all, pulling the trigger on all this horsepower. My job is to cut a good light, keep it down the middle of the track and get it shut off on the other end in one piece. How tough can it be? For someone who has many years of motorcycle racing under his belt, it's real tough!! I have raced motorcross as a professional, flat track and also a little road racing thrown in but nothing can prepare you for one of these machines. I learn something new everytime I go down the track.  It requires some serious concentration and no mistakes.  After everyone else has done their job in bike preparation, it is up to me to do my part.
